About the business
Landmark Inspections is an independent inspection business that provides detailed inspection reports to clients looking at purchasing a home with pre-purchase building and timber pest inspections. We also conduct construction stage inspections to provide the client with peace of mind that their new home is being built to a good standard.
About the role
Due to recent growth we are currently seeking an additional inspector to join our small team. The ideal candidate must be able to work autonomously and include tasks including:
- Complete pre-purchase building inspections
- Complete timber pest inspections (training can be provided)
- Complete construction stage inspections on new builds
- Complete detailed reports utilising our state of the art reporting technology.
- Must be able to inspect roof spaces and sub floor areas.
- Be able to communicate with clients as an expert within the construction industry.
- Be enthusiastic and approachable.
- Be able to travel to locations around metro Melbourne.

- Mix of work with each inspection being different from the last.
- All inspections are scheduled by our office staff allowing the inspector to concentrate on inspecting and report writing.
- No need for regular trips to the office as all reporting is completed on the iPad.
Skills and experience
- Minimum of 10 years construction industry experience.
- Attention to detail to document small defects all the way to major structural defects.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Drivers licence and reliable vehicle.
- Current police check.
- A working knowledge of building codes.
- Computer literate.
- Competent in plan reading.
