The Downer/ Seymour Whyte Joint Venture was recently awarded the construct only contract for the 10.5km Berry to Bomaderry Upgrade. The JV will build four lanes of new divided road between Mullers Lane at Berry and the Cambewarra Road roundabout at Bomaderry in addition to building temporary roads and carrying out road work for the safety of motorists and workers. When completed, it will be the final piece of more than 30km of highway upgraded between Gerringong and Bomaderry since work started in 2012.

About the Role

An opportunity exists for a Contract Administrator to join our Berry to Bomaderry Project. You will thrive within a dynamic environment and will manage multiple stakeholders to keep the project humming. This is the perfect opportunity for those seeking an immediate opportunity for a fixed period whilst being able to undertake the duties of a contract administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and administering subcontracts and supply agreements, including assisting engineers to define the scope and conditions.
  • Assessment of subcontractor claims and variations.
  • Assisting the Commercial Manager in preparing detailed forecasting spreadsheets, reports and analysis.
  • Supervision of Site/Project Administrators and their responsibilities in relation to accounts payable, job costing and general administration.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in contract administration roles.
  • Previous experience with standard construction contracts and schedule of rates and lump sum contracts (GC21).
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience working in the construction industry.
  • Viewpoint, Job Pack, JD Edwards, Timberland, CHEOPS or similar project contract administration software experience.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks whilst under pressure and to meet deadlines.
