About the business and the role
Premier Pools has been one of Sydney's leading concrete swimming pool builders since it began in 1983, earning an enviable reputation for excellence in design and construction of quality swimming pools. We are currently seeking a mature, professional and experienced Construction Supervisor to become a key member of our Lindfield based team.
As the point of contact for both the client and contractors, you will be a key person for the successful completion of a projects in the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and Southern Shires.
As a mature construction supervisor you will have a solid background in the construction field. Your excellent communication and leadership skills as well as your extensive experience will have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and favor quality,customer satisfaction and safety above everything else.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Monitor schedules and monitor document on computer site management system
- Excellent customer, contractor and supplier communication
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities
- Supervise tradespeople
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
- Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
- Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
- Resolve problems when they arise
- Report on progress to directors
Skills and experience
- 10-15 years of proven experience as construction foreman
- Excellent communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSH guidelines
- Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Computer literacy, knowledge of micro-soft packages
- Aptitude in math
- Problem-solving abilities
- White card
- Good physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter etc.
- Applicant must supply own car to start. Car allowance will be part of the package.
