THE POSITION
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Civil Estimator - Bulk Earthworks/Civil Structures to join our national civil construction business based in SA. Working closely with the management team, this role will be involved with the following:
- Use of first principles to develop accurate estimates for civil projects (small and large)
- Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times etc.
- Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
- Build relationships with key stakeholders (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
- Liaise with clients and suppliers to obtain information and calculate costs
- Participate in tender review processes with senior management
This position will be based at our Adelaide corporate office on the city fringe.
YOU WILL NEED
To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience, and track record as a Civil Estimator
- Experience pricing bulk earthworks and concrete structures
- Familiarity with financial and project management principles
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Possess a positive and productive attitude
You will have a tertiary qualification in Engineering (or similar), be a strong communicator with significant experience in the civil sector. Previous bid management experience will be an advantage but is not essential.
