We have a fantastic Senior Design Manager opportunity for a career minded individual who wants a challenging and highly rewarding role. Joining our Health strategic business unit - you will be working on major health projects across NSW. From specialised research facilities to major regional hospitals, or dedicated Health team provides valuable design, project management and construction advice - cutting-through the complexity of healthcare projects to deliver world-class outcomes. Lendlease has extensive expertise in delivering hospitals and other healthcare projects in Australia, Asia, the Americas and Europe. In Australia, our project management and construction business has been responsible for $3 billion worth of projects including two of the country’s largest hospitals.

As the Senior Design Manager, you will manage an array of internal and external stakeholders across engagement, coordination and obtaining of all approvals. This will require leveraging cross-functional relationships to build and shape the role of design in collaboration with development managers; management of designers to develop and implement places and products that balance commerciality and aspirational lifestyle outcomes through effective coordination, efficiency, timeliness and quality of design within budget requirements.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to develop client briefs, design concepts and detailed design, as well engaging our cost planners and construction teams to ensure the finished outcome is buildable, and in line with financial constraints, enabling you to deliver a product that exceeds your client’s expectations. Leading a number of packages, you will review compliance, chair design meetings, manage document control and ensure all technical requirements are met.
You will also work closely with the client and user groups to provide input into design with a focus on detailed plans to ensure the clients brief is delivered on time, safely and within budget constraints.
This role requires an astute design management individual; previous experience in major building projects in the health sector is essential - given this is joining our Health strategic business unit. Your experience to date will derive from either a main contractor, project management group or architecture firm.
