THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an experienced BOQ Estimator on a full time permanent basis located in our Baulkham Hills office. Your primary focus is to ensure that all Master BOQs and production jobs are estimated accurately and within the pre-agreed time frames. You would also be open to be trained as a sales estimator and have an additional focus to the role. Responsibilities include:
- Performing accurate quantity take offs
- Creating and maintaining the master BOQ catalogue
- Assist in development of new designs (buildability checks etc)
- Display home estimating and coordination
- Variation price book maintenance
- Providing accurate pricing for contracts and variations including appropriate margin considerations
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors
- Providing support to site supervisors
- Finding and implement efficiencies in the BOQ process
- Training of new production estimators
WHO YOU ARE
You will have strong, demonstrated estimating experience in the construction or related industry and preferably a tertiary/TAFE building qualification or related experience in residential building and/or estimating. Practical understanding of Timberline and WMS is preferred.
In addition, knowledge of the Residential Building Code and Australian Standards are highly advantageous along with strong analytical skills and the capability to work in a fast paced customer centric environment. You have a strong customer focus, the capacity to multi-task and have a flexible and adaptable approach are pivotal to being successful in this role.
You will be an exceptional communicator, and are able to use your experience working in successful teams to work together to and achieve set targets and KPI's. High attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are desired.
