About the company: 
My client is one of Australia’s biggest, most respected Civil Engineering companies, with over 50 years’ experience in the Market. They are currently working on some of the largest projects in the Sydney Metro area and have a secured pipeline of projects for the next 3 years.
  
About the Role: 
With the continued success and diversification of our business, they are seeking to appoint a Senior Civil Estimator to join our fast-growing civil construction business based in the Western Suburbs of Sydney. Working closely with the Senior Management and the Estimating team, you ensure a smooth process on all aspects of the Estimation Process.
 
Duties:

• Use of first principles to develop and coordinate accurate estimates for civil projects (small and large)
• Conduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, production times etc.
• Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
• Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
• Liaise with clients and suppliers to obtain information and calculate costs
• Participate in tender reviews with Senior Management

  
Skills and Experience:  

• Proven experience as a Civil Estimatoroverseeing multiple processes and resources.
• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering desired
• Experience pricing civil projects
• Familiarity with financial and project management principles
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to liaise confidently with key stake-holders.
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Bid management experience will be beneficial but not essential
