An exciting role as a Project Manager - Client Side within the Delivery Division has become available. The position is based in a fast growing team within the Victorian State Government.

The team has a wide range of experience and skills, such as design and architecture specialists, stakeholder management experts and building/construction professionals. Success in the role will require a passionate and motivated individual. The department’s vision is to build prosperous, socially engaged, happy and healthy lives and to do so builds and delivers well equipped and developed facilities.

The Project Manager will oversee multiple capital works projects such as building extensions, refurbishments or Greenfield projects. To be successful in the role as a Project Manager strong communication skills are required as well as the ability to solve problems and work under pressure. The department has specialised consultancies to manage the daily workload, therefore the Project Manager will be required to manage the expectations of all involved stakeholders to meet deadlines and project budget.

Other key areas of responsibility include, but not limited are:

• Assisting in the coordination of all aspects of project execution across the project lifecycle from feasibility through to project close to ensure expectations are understood and agreed, the program is maintained, key milestones are met, and that delivery, performance and financial strategies are achieved.
• Assisting in the establishment and maintenance of effective relationships with diverse stakeholders in order to manage risks and resolve issues impacting project delivery.
• Adhering to Victorian Government procurement processes in the delivery of projects
  
  

We are seeking applicants with a specific skillset and working experience, to include:

• Minimum of 5 years experience client side project management, construction project management and/or design delivery
• Ability to deliver multiple projects concurrently to meet time, cost and quality requirements
• Strong focus on stakeholder management and the capability to liaise with multiple clients
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills - the ability to independently put together complex reporting documents relating to project budget, delivery etc.
• Ability to work autonomously within a team environment
• A tertiary qualification in architecture, project management OR similar coupled with relevant industry experience
