Stems Construction Solutions is a small Construction Company, specialising in the Insurance and Restoration Industry. Our office is in Seaford (a warehouse style hub where we meet and debrief, have our weekly Friday bbq’s, and plan to host our coming monthly ping pong championships), however we service Melbourne metro, east and south east suburbs.

Just a bit about us -

Whilst we specialise in strip out and insurance restoration, we also have a focus on development and renovations. We are currently looking to grow our team to meet the ever-growing demand of our extremely high standards of workmanship!

Job tasks and responsibilities

We are currently seeking a superstar to join our energetic team. The role will be predominately strip out demolition focused - kind of a combo of smashing stuff and supplementing gym training by carrying stuff; but getting paid to do it.

Tasks will include, but not be limited to..

- Stripping out of fire, flood or storm damaged buildings. (Commercial and residential) - [this is the frustration venting part, where you get to smash stuff]

- Gutting bathrooms, apartments, units etc. [again, fair bit of smashing involved here, with the part time problem solving aspect of dismantling vanities and shower screens for those who enjoy the odd challenge]

- Using power tools, including jackhammers, concrete grinders, saws etc.

- Setting up containment areas to manage dust and noise.

- Loading trailers with waste and visiting tips. [see above regarding gym training supplementation]

- Assisting the team with construction jobs and tasks.

The Successful applicant will:

- Have own transport and license.

- Have a ripper sense of humour and contribute regularly to our Stems group chat

- Experience in the construction industry, preferably demolition and or strip out.

- Be internally motivated to complete tasks to a high level (but with an ability and appreciation to enjoy the odd extrinsic motivations such as regular Friday BBQ’s and ping pong tournaments down at the ‘office’).

- Work well in a team, but have the ability to work independently and efficiently.

- Good communication skills. Ability to speak with elderly clients, builders, trades and team members in a respectful and polite manner.

- A strong knowledge and ability with power tools and demolition equipment.

- Strong passion for the industry, a positive attitude and initiative.
