Immediate opportunity for an electrical Estimator to join multi-disciplinary services contractor in Western Sydney. This role will suit a Junior Estimator with min. 12 months estimating experience across commercial, government or health sectors. Advanced Excel skills is required as this role requires you to prepare your own spreadsheets, prepare formulas and create and use pivot tables for cost estimation and tender preparation.
This opportunity will also see you work alongside the Mechanical Estimator in re-tendering existing services contracts. The role will also see you estimate new refurbishment and fit-out projects as part of the establishment of a new estimation and project division in which you will assist in developing.
The role:
- Quote, estimate, tender minor works projects and services contracts across commercial, government, aged-care, retail sites
- Assist wider management team with estimating queries and questions across multiple trade disciplines
- Communicate and create relationships with all stakeholders, clients and field staff
- Lead the establishment of an estimating and project management division within the company
You will possess:
- Trade or degree qualification in electrical, mechanical or similar
- Advance Excel experience and knowledge (essential)
- Previous estimating experience and understanding on Australian codes and standards
- Ability to conceive and plan projects at tender stage with accuracy
- Strong communication and computer skills
