About the role
We have an opportunity for a senior project management professional with demonstrated experience to join our Parliament Square redevelopment project in Hobart, Tasmania.
Reporting to the Project Director, you will be required to successfully deliver the construction and fitout of a Marriott Luxury Collection hotel. The role is a client-side role but it is anticipated that the successful candidate will be closely involved in managing the building contractor.
Parliament Square comprises a diverse mix of office, hotel and retail spaces within the prime Salamanca precinct of Hobart. The development involves the refurbishment of heritage buildings for a luxury brand hotel, approximately 16,000sqm of government office tenancy, retail tenancies, underground carpark and an outdoor plaza.
Based in Hobart, this role offers the opportunity to be part of a landmark development project whilst offering an enviable lifestyle, accessing the best the region has to offer. Additionally, for the right applicant, the role could be suitable for a Melbourne based executive on an interstate commuting basis, spending around four days per week in Hobart.

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- More than15 years of building industry experience managing complex projects
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, architecture or building-related discipline
- Strong communication attributes, particularly stakeholder and authority engagement
- Client focused project management experience with strong supervisory skills
- Design and construction delivery and value management experience essential
- Strong programming skills, preferably MS Project or other construction program skills
- Hotel industry delivery experience to successful opening preferred.
