This position will suit a qualified construction professional, with 3 years + experience as a Contracts Administrator, and who is looking for a builder who can develop them into a high performing Project Manager.
The Role
Ideally suited to an existing Contract Administrator, who has between 3 to 5 years experience at a reputable Melbourne builder, you will be working within a team of contractual staff, and under the guidance of the Project Manager responsible for each project. Other duties:
- Construction tender preparation and evaluation
- Manage the budget and costs associated to the construction project
- Administering RFI's
- Manage contract variations
- Progress claims
Are you suited?
This role is within a construction company, so you will need to have the pre-requisite construction qualification, construction experience and capability, to suit this role. Broadly speaking, you will be considered suitable if you have the following:
- Successful delivery of Contract Administration duties over at least the last 3 years
- Experience managing all subcontractor packages - from ground up, to completion
- Exposure to a range of commerical builds in excess of $5 million construction value
- A relevant construction management, degree (or similar)
- Experience working with local Victorian sub-contractors and networks within them which will allow for closer partnerships
- You must have a very stable work history - stability of former employers is a must
