The Company

From rolling out state-of-the-art broadband networks to maintaining and upgrading existing telephone networks, we have the know-how and workforce to take on projects ranging in scale from single homes to major regional or national projects. 

The Role

Based in our Arndell Park office but with some travel as required, the Field Supervisor HFC will be responsible for the following -

• Lead, direct, supervise and coordinate the activities of field staff and sub-contractors under your control
• Undertake all necessary scheduling of work, staff and equipment to ensure that daily, weekly and monthly production targets are achieved
• Ensure the standard of work in the field is of a high quality and in accordance with work practices and standards required by the Client, the Company and service providers
• Represent Service Stream in relation to customer complaints management
• Ensure current work practices are implemented in the field and recommend changes to ensure that any activity is performed in the most efficient and cost effective manner
• Ensure that all tasks undertaken are performed in a manner consistent with HS&E policies and procedures of the company and the relevant state legislation
• Coordinate and assist in the training of all staff and sub-contractors
• Liaise with the client and its customers to appropriately manage the client's network and plant
• Liaise with and make all necessary arrangements with Public Authorities regarding provision of services to the network and working in public areas
• Resolve conflicts within your group. Counsel staff and sub-contractors on poor performance eg; work practices/output, defects, attendance, punctuality, failure to report, customer complaints etc.
• Arrange reports to management and the customer on the status of work and recommend carry out corrective action as required, escalating issues where necessary
• Produce and disseminate relevant briefings / updates / information to all staff and sub-contractors.

To be considered for this opportunity you will have the following skills and experience:

• Relevant technical qualifications.
• Experience within Telecommunications industry, specifically on the copper network
• Previous experience meeting targets/budgets
• Flexible approach and well developed contract management skills
• Strong client focus and ability to negotiate with the client
