Due to increased sales and prompt deadlines McDonald Jones Homes are seeking to employ a knowledgeable and committed Production Estimator to join our team based in Thornton.
The Role
Reporting to the Production Estimating Manager, your primary responsibility is to apply your systematic ability to assist in the preparation of quotations for projects, prepare accurate take-offs, check contract plans for accuracy prior to release for construction, along with associated administrative duties in a dynamic friendly team of estimators.
The Person
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate:-
- Well-developed numerical skills;
- Estimating experience working in the multi residential or project housing sector;
- Exceptional computer skills with a medium to advanced knowledge of Excel;
- Outstanding attention to detail;
- The ability to meet deadlines and strive to reach targets;
- Experience in BusinessCraft, and / or Companion systems would be advantageous;
- Ability to work within a diverse team environment.
In addition, you must be conscientious towards your work with the ability to handle numerous projects effectively and efficiently. Certificate IV in Building and Construction, or higher would be seen has advantageous but not Critical.
