Due to growth our well-regarded client is looking for an Estimating Assistant to join their successful team to work alongside the estimating team. This is a great opportunity to excel your career, receive great support and mature into a quality Estimator role!

If you are a construction administrator and want to advance your skillset into Estimating!

The Role & Opportunity:

• Sourcing new subcontractors and quotations
• Sales and Production estimates for all requirements and additional requests, along with prepare orders to suppliers and sub-contractors
• Preparing take-offs, quantities and estimates
• Update and maintain items and pricing of estimating templates
• Form strong internal and external relationships
• Create and draft tenders for projects
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and trade subcontractors, together with collaborating reports to reflect the design and construction contracts

The Requirements:

• Trade background preferred
• Good knowledge of residential building 
• Basics in Estimating and/or trade background
• Skills in various software such as Excel suite
• Experience in reading and interpreting plans
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Skilled trades and suppliers liaison 
• Career focused and wanting to achieve
• Well organised
