The Specialist Plant Operator - Drainage Maintenance is responsible for undertaking programmed and reactive cleaning of the City’s stormwater drainage system, using the Drainage Combination Eduction and Jetting Truck. Our ideal candidate will be flexible in their approach, performing labouring and other general Plant Operator duties within their own and other teams as required.

In addition, to be considered for these roles, you will possess the following skills and/or qualifications:

  • Secondary Certificate of Education (Year 10 minimum) or equivalent skills and abilities.
  • Accredited with MRWA in Basic Worksite Traffic Management.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety management systems and procedures such as safe work method statements and job safety analysis.
  • Plan reading and interpretation skills.
  • Experience in operating at least 4 of the following construction plant:
  • Excavator of minimum capacity of 5 tonne
  • Front-end loader
  • Skid Steer loader
  • Six-wheel tip truck;
  • Water cart truck for road construction; and
  • Ride on roller for road construction.
  • Crane Truck Licence for unlimited vehicle mounted crane 10 Tonne or over
  • Bobcat
  • Drainage Eduction/Jetting Truck

This permanent full time position is a Level 5 Outside Workforce Agreement position attracts a salary range of $60,816– $63,584 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation and fantastic benefits.
