About the Company for the Senior Estimating Specialist role
A well regarded government body is seeking a Senior Estimating Specialist to help deliver the final business case for a highly visible infrastructure project across New South Wales. This is an initial 6 month contract position with the potential to extend afterwards.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Estimating Specialist role
- Lead and assist recruitment for a small team of estimators.
- Help produce CAPEX and OPEX estimates for the project
- Collaborate with key figures in the delivery team to ensure estimates are fit for purpose.
- Chair Quantitive Risk Assesment workshops to determine contingency P50 & P90 values
- Produce basis for the Estimate Report to be used at final business case
- Provide estimating expertise to the Tender Assesment Committees
Skills and Experience of the Senior Estimating Specialist role:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or appropriate experience in a similar role.
- Extensive experience with Cost X and Microsoft Office
- Experience working within several different infrastructure build environments
- Experience working within a client side organisation preferred although not essential
- Ideally have worked with @Risk contingency Software (Although not essential)
