Our client is an established and successful business who have built a reputation as a respected construction and project management company. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Site Supervisor / Site Manager.
Working across high end retail, hospitality and commercial projects, you will take responsibility for all live projects for quality, programme, constructability and site management. In addition, you will work closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure the construction plan is adhered to on site.
Projects range from smaller up to about $50m and majority are of a fit-out and refurbishment nature.
The client is looking for candidates with strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills and can mentor the junior members of the team.
Reporting to: Senior Project Manager / Construction Manager
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Preparation of weekly construction programmes and updating status on a weekly basis
- Reviewing scopes of work
- Prepare and action defects report
- Manage all site resources and report on all site activities
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Trade background in Carpentry or similar
- Minimum 4 years experience working in the retail and hospitality sectors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand drawings and specifications
- Strong ability to visualise 3D formats from 2D drawings
- High level of attention to detail
- Proven people management skills with the ability to motivate and drive teams
- Team player who can lead by example
- Understanding of Microsoft Office
