Downer's Road Services business is one of the largest non-government owned road services businesses in Australia. We operate from a network of over 50 depots and maintain more than 40,000 km of road. Our Business is involved in many exciting ventures within the civil road industry throughout the country.
We are seeking to appoint a full time Road Maintenance Worker to join our Maintenance team based out of our Hastings depot. Tasks included, but not limited to, are pothole patching, edge break repairs, asphalt dig outs, stabilised patching, asphalt regulations, concrete pit & surround replacements, concrete path grinding, operation of water carts, traffic control, after hours call outs, drain clearing, and many other road maintenance activities.
ABOUT YOU
- Knowledge and understanding of road maintenance
- Medium Rigid Truck License
- Licences and competencies in plant operation preferably skid steer, heavy rigid truck licence, excavator, grader would be an advantage
- Previous experience with operating a flocon
- Previous experience with operating a HIAB
- Current First Aid Level 2 (preferred)
- Self-motivated with a high level pride in works undertaken
- Construction Induction Card or equivalent
- Traffic Control ticket
- Certificate II or III in Civil Construction would be an advantage
