Due to continued growth YAT Engineering and Construction are seeking an experienced SMP Site Supervisor for operations on a 2/1 roster based in Cape Preston, south west of Karratha. You will be required to work a 12 hour day shift with the position commencing immediately.
The Role:
The Site Supervisor will be an integral member of the YAT Management Team responsible towards the successful delivery of each project/job whilst delivering high quality solutions and results to the Client on an ongoing basis. The Site Supervisor will ensure targeted project/job outcomes are met in a timely manner, within budget and operating effectively and proficiently with a zero hard environment.
Responsibilities:
- Utilise their experience and skill set to provide assistance to the Superintendent to complete initial job quotations
- Successfully build relationships and network to obtain new jobs and identifying potential growth opportunities
- Provides completed Work Packs to Personnel at the commencement of each job including but not limited to: JHEA's, Good To Go's, Permit Request Forms, Certifications, Drawings, MSDS's and Scope of Work
- Allocates the appropriate work crew at the commencement of each shift dependant on qualifications, skill set, site competency and experience
- Conducts Daily Pre-Start and Debrief Meetings
- Attends and assists the Superintendent with regular Toolbox Meetings
- Conducts daily work and site inspections and actions all audit findings in a timely manner
- Reports any concerns to the Superintendent including but not limited to job time frames, budgets, materials and employees health and safety
- Resolves conflicts promptly, provides constructive feedback and create development plans if necessary for individual employees
- Identify, report and record and non-conformances, incidences or near misses as required by the quality management system
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
- Technical knowledge of construction, building and civil processes
- Team leadership skills including excellent interpersonal and team building skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
