Looking for a senior purchasing officer role with a market leading business who turnover in excess of $600m per annum and based in the West? Our client has a long term permanent opportunity for a team player to join a long-established family run business in the construction sector who pride themselves on delivery quality projects ahead of schedule every time.
Working with internal, site based and external partners you will procure good and services that are required for the successful operation of our building sites while in control of millions of dollars everyday.  
As the purchasing officer your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

• Efficient and prompt purchase of requestioned items, services and other purchases on a daily basis.
• Effectively negotiating the optimum purchase value during the sourcing and buying process.
• Making sure all purchases are delivered in a timely manner.
• Compliance with statutory and standard operating procedures.

To be successful you will need the following;

• Purchasing experience within the building industry
• Strong computer literacy including knowledge of viewpoint & ms office
• Strong administration and data entry skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise your work, negotiate with supplier and influence stakeholders
