The Metro Tunnel Project is a game-changer for our city and our customers. The project will deliver more frequent services for customers, reducing network congestion and overcrowding. By introducing new systems and infrastructure it will modernise the network and deliver greater reliability. About the role:

This is the perfect opportunity to join the Metro Tunnel Project and in particular, our Operations team. As the Operations Delivery Coordinator, you will be ensuring rail operation plans are effectively developed and implemented, while also providing reactive management for unplanned operational interface matters. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Brief key stakeholders within MTM on disruption status (e.g. Progress/ Risks/ Issues) in a timely manner.
  • Conduct / participate in operational impact meetings to ensure all stakeholders are considered in the plan and have clear understanding of implementation actions (including but not limited to; train maintenance, outstabling, rail scrubbing and contingency planning)
  • Support disruption delivery implementation of operational changes and mitigation / reaction to unplanned events
  • Provide recommendations to senior MTM/ RPV management regarding disruption requirements / operational impacts and risks
  • Investigate, review, present and represent the project back into the business for operational performance impacts using available data and video logs, and reporting tools
  • Produce reports and/ conduct presentations as required to summarise assessment of disruption plans and proposals      
About your experience:

Ideally you will possess demonstrated knowledge of the rail network, where you have gained operational and track protection experience and understand the requirements working around rail electrical assets. You will have demonstrated organisational skills and attention detail that have seen you succeed in administering procedural requirements and possess knowledge of the PTC 1994 Book of Operating Rules and Procedures as amended. A Certificate IV in Front Line Management and/or Diploma in Business Management/Studies, Transport Administration or Rail Industry would be desirable.
