About the business and the role
MARKSCON specialise in high-end multi-unit townhouse and apartment developments, as well as commercial retail and industrial complexes. We are selective in what projects we tender and are focused on sustained diversified growth. Currently we undertake projects in value between $2 and $15 million for reputable and VIP clients.

Job tasks and responsibilities
- Management of projects from start to finish. Ultimately you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of the project.
- Pre-commencement management to enable projects to kick off without delay. Including all Council, Building Surveyor and Client pre-start requirements.
- Performance of the Head Contract, including Practical Completion procedures.
- Manage all Project Meetings with the project stakeholders and ensure timely performance of the Project Requirements without adversely affecting program and budget.
- Ensure Subcontractors perform in accordance with their Sub-Contract.
- Liaise with the Contract Administration Team and Site Project Team to co-ordinate and manage excellent outcomes for the business.
- Ensure Insurance & Safety Procedures are followed.
- You must produce High Quality outcomes for the business.
- Report directly to the Directors.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability and experience in the following;
- Enable projects to commence in a timely manner with knowledge and experience required to achieve all Council, Building Surveyor and Client pre-construction requirements.
- Review documentation and problem solve. Raise all RFIs and co-ordinate designers and project stakeholders during construction.
- Application and submission of paperwork to Electrical, Water/Sewerage, Gas and Telecommunication Utilities.
- Responsibility for the connection of Head Works on time.
- Procurement of off site materials in line with milestone requirements.
- Ensure construction in accordance with project documents, specifications and reports.
- All building codes and standards to be adhered to. Very good knowledge in common building standards and tolerances.
- Ability to foresee problems with construction details and the experience in knowing what happens if shortcuts are taken. The control and authority to ensure all trades do their work to Australian standards and Markscon quality standards. QA management experience is imperative.
- Management of Sub-Contractors performance in line with Project Specifications.
- On-going management of safe building operations and systems in the business and ensuring the Site Personal are following procedures.
- Manage the performance of Site Supervisors in reaching Program Milestones.
- Ability to value manage projects to achieve commercial benefit for the project team.
