THE COMPANY
  
A multifaceted, ever evolving commercial contractor with 7 years of successful project delivery and shrewd business acquisitions, which has led to a broad base of experience in all types of construction, forging themselves an enviable reputation for professionalism and quality across the Aged Care, Healthcare, Education and Residential sectors.
  
Operating out of North Melbourne they are currently securing and successfully delivering commercial projects in the range of $250,000 to $5,000,000, with plans to increase their capabilities to projects in excess of $10,000,000 to better service the needs of clients (current & new) and to achieve the goals of the business.
  
THE ROLE

The potential & plans to grow both the headcount and turnover of the business are essential to achieving the targets of the business; this will only be achieved through the allocation of a senior figure to the construction team who can not only achieve on successful tendering but effectively manage teams and provide guidance to the management teams.

Reporting to the Construction Manager your focus will be the execution of effective targeting, tendering and resource management of education, healthcare & aged care projects throughout Melbourne and surrounding suburbs. You will also be expected to communicate effectively; bridging the flow of information between trade partners and internal Site teams ensuring the business is operating at maximum efficiency.

Duties:
 

  • Targeting Project with a high profitability 
  • Preparation of tender documents
  • Liaison with subcontractors & suppliers
  • Coordination of submissions & proposals
  • Liaise with necessary internal teams re scheduling
  • Chair internal project meetings
  • Advise Directors on future business decisions
  • Hand over to project delivery team

ABOUT YOU

I would be interested in having a conversation with you about the role if you can demonstrate:
 

  • Proven track record of delivering successful tenders in the education and healthcare sectors
  • 3 to 4 years exposure to the Victorian commercial space
  • Exposure to projects >$5,000,000
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong personal professional skills

 

Further to the above requirements you must have a can do attitude as will be required in a team environment.
