Who you are

You will be joining our Corporate Affairs team as a Customer Services Officer on a fixed term basis. We have three full time, fixed term roles available: 12-month term, 18-month term, and 2-year term. You are aligned with Sydney Airport’s values of integrity and openness; safety and security; excellence; teamwork, creativity and flexibility; and sustainability.

 

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Airport Services Centre Manager, you will be responsible for duties such as:

  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with the Airport Services Centre team and key stakeholders across the airport.
  • Undertake airport user, visitor and stakeholder services including identification and access services, ensuring compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • Facilitate ID card processes and to ensure airport staff can only access authorised areas in accordance with their individual approval and regulatory provisions. 
  • Apply Government regulations when verifying documents and individuals during the ASIC application process and make decisions on qualifications of various documents.
  • Provide input into Airport Services Centre policies, procedures and systems to ensure consistency with stakeholder needs, security regulations and best practice.
  • Participate in any enquiry of service delivery feedback and security breaches to determine preventative actions, systems improvements, and any other necessary steps to ensure compliance.

 

What you’ll need to be successful

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering customer service in a demanding environment across a broad range of service channels, including face to face, phone and written communication
  • Proven ability to influence customer behaviour to manage a broad range of customers and needs
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills to manage competing priorities to achieve results, deliver service excellence and meet deadlines
  • High ethical and compliance standards to meet government and safety regulations
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to handle various administrative processes
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft applications, data entry systems and customer relationship management systems
