Your primary purpose will be to lead, mentor, train and support the Export and Global Trading Customer Service team.  This is a busy, high profile position and your key responsibilities include:

  • Team Leadership – support, guide and lead your team to success and develop a strong, collaborate team ethos
  • Liaising with Customers & Suppliers
  • Sales order Management utilising SAP and working with supply chain and sales
  • Managing Finances – i.e. letters of credit and treasury cash flow
  • Reporting – prepare & distribute KPI and monthly reports
  • Business processes – document and publish new process procedures and maintain existing

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in leading an Export or Export/Import Customer Service Team.  Tertiary qualifications majoring in International Trade, Business or Logistics will be highly regarded and experience in all facets of export documentation including Letter of Credit is a must. 

You will be a strong leader with the ability to drive change and motivate your team to deliver against demanding services standards as well as ensure speed and accuracy under pressure.  It is a given you are able to quickly prioritise and meet deadlines whilst maintaining excellent customer relationships and service.

Highly desirable is experience in Import requirements into Australia and New Zealand as well as experience in Export requirements from Offshore locations.  You will be solutions focused and driven with the ability to identify and resolve problems and motivate and lead your team to do likewise.
