Debtco Pty Ltd is now looking for experienced Debt Collection officer’s to join their rapidly growing debt recovery team, fantastic career progression on offer for the right candidates to fast-track themselves into management positions as the company experiences enormous growth.
The suitable candidate will have a minimum of 2 years collections experience with exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Duties
- Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts
- Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments
- Locate and contact debtors to inquire about their payment status
- Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans
- Handle questions or complaints
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Create trust relationships with debtors when possible to avoid future issues
- Update account status and database regularly
- Alert superiors of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary
- Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Two years minimum debt collection experience, great negotiation skills with the ability to multitask.
Preferred Skills
2 Years minimum in a collections role.
Someone from a banking background is preferred
