Our Client is a well-established Mechanical Services company and due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Service Advisor with a main responsibility of being the principle point of contact between the company and the customer regarding vehicle service and repair. This is a customer focused position and will require you to use your exceptional communication skills to manage all queries from the customer while planning/coordinating the works required with the Internal Service department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Liaise with customer in regards to repairs and service requirements
  • Take bookings and co-ordinate works schedule
  • Liaise with Internal Service Department to ensure all work is carried out within the allocated time-frames
  • Update the customer on progress of works performed and advise them of any delays
  • Identify new opportunities and promote the company’s Internal Service department
  • Provide outstanding service to ensure complete customer satisfaction
  • Carry out basic stock control duties
  • Follow up with existing and potential customers, advising of promotions and future service requirements
  • Update and maintain the company’s in-house customer database
  • Provide the customer with correct mechanical advise and technical support
  • General administrative and reporting duties

KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Strong Mechanical knowledge with the ability to provide technical advice
  • Previous experienced gained as a Service Advisor - ideally within the automotive industry
  • Excellent customer service sills
  • Demonstrated ability to promote the company’s Internal Service Department
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Polite and professional telephone manner
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work in a small team environment - Good team player
  • Good administrative skills and PC skills
