This is a specialist lending company who provides residential, commercial and asset finance lending products primarily focused on meeting the needs of the self-employed. It works with a limited range of introducers selected for their expertise in the specialist lending market. This company is located in a convenient CBD location, close to trains and trams. Due to some exciting growth, this company is now seeking and empathetic and ambitious Collections Officer to assist clients in managing loans that are in arrears and ensuring delinquent accounts are kept to a minimum. Reporting to the Collections Manager, you will be joining a dedicated and tight knit team with a drive for ongoing learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
Within this role, you will have the following responsibilities
• Ownership of early to late stage collections.
• Handling inbound and outbound calls in an efficient and professional manner
• Ensuring that all accounts in arrears are tasked and followed up
• Ensuring that delinquent accounts are reviewed and are managed in line with the company procedures.
• Assessment of hardship applications.
• Making accurate file notes
• Liaising with external stakeholders (e.g. valuers, solicitors) as required
• Assisting the Customer Service team with general enquiries
• Assisting the Customer Service team with general administrative duties
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following
• A minimum 1 years experience within Mortgage Collections is essential
• The ability to empathise, negotiate and work with customers to gain mutually beneficial outcome
• Good understanding of the National Consumer Credit Protection act
• Loss recovery experience would be an advantage
• An autonomous nature
• The drive to understand, agree and satisfy customer requirements
