About the role:
This permanent part-time role is an exciting opportunity to join our Customer Service team to provide excellence in Customer Service and work towards Council’s vision of being a healthy, safe, vibrant, prosperous and sustainable community.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Provide the first point of contact at Customer Service Centre front desks
- Respond to enquiries via the telephone, counter or email, on all aspects of the Council's operations, and refer complex enquiries to appropriate Units and officers
- Record and monitor service requests received from the public through Council's Customer Service Request System (CSRS)
- Provide information about the Shire's services, activities, events and attractions
- Ensure familiarity with all aspects of the Shire's operations and services provided by each unit
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will be a passionate Customer Service Officer looking for their next challenge. You will enjoy working in a collaborative team and be comfortable liaising with members of the community on a range of matters.
We are also looking for someone who has:
- A proven commitment in providing excellent customer service and a "can do" attitude in a busy office and service environment;
- Skills in conflict resolution and exemplifies personal drive, integrity and resilience under difficult circumstances;
- Well develop computer literacy and keyboard skills, including experience in using Microsoft Software packages;
- Experience in handling and receipting money; and
- High quality verbal communication skills.
