We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic finance professional to join our team as a Mortgage Broker. The Mortgage Broker will build a loan portfolio by pursuing leads that are provided by Cedar Woods or self-generated.  It will involve managing the end to end process in arranging finance for property purchasers using products offered by the appointed loan aggregator. This will involve generating leads, qualifying customers, writing loans, maintaining relationships and adhering to compliance systems.

Some key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Build a loan portfolio for Cedar Woods.
• Convert leads generated by Cedar Woods by maintaining strong relationships with sales consultants.
• Generate leads from within and outside of Cedar Woods' customer base.
• Deliver a post-settlement aftercare program with clients to develop repeat business and a referral network.
• Liaison with key lenders which may include banks, insurance companies and other specialised finance companies.
• Help develop internal monitoring, processes and reporting systems for the company.
• Help develop internal systems and processes for lead generation, customer management, reporting and compliance.

To be considered for this position, you will have:

• Certificate IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking.
• Current Police Check.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a mortgage broker or front line retail lender.
• Previous experience with processing finance for 'off the plan' sales (desirable)
• Previous experience working within a property or building and construction environment (desirable).
• Strong understanding of credit, with the ability to structure secured loans.
• Compliance - experience working within defined systems, processes and industry regulations.
• Knowledge of the Melbourne real estate market.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal/external stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong skills in working with numbers and finance related matters.
• Strong computer proficiency with ability to learn new programs quickly.
