Senior Associate, Industry Analytics & Insights - Mid Market Property – Institutional Banking

The team delivers robust analysis to support sustainable great credit decisions, within a wholesale banking environment.
 
Role Overview 
 
There is an opportunity for and Senior Associate to join the Industry Analytics & Insights team. Within this team the analytical focus of the role will be mid-market property clients within this organisation Institutional Bank.
 
As the Senior Associate you will build strong relationships with mid-market property clients in Australia and New Zealand through demonstrating your specialized industry knowledge. You will perform in depth analysis on clients and prospective clients to identify opportunities, determine credit quality and associated risks.
 
You will undertake strategic selling initiatives and also work closely with the relationship team and product areas to provide transaction solutions.
 
Responsibilities 

• Identify strategic opportunities, providing high quality research and evaluating potential funding ideas across a portfolio of institutional property clients;
• Prepare credit submissions including detailed risk analysis and financial forecasting, and be able to negotiate submissions through credit;
• Build relationships and establish rapport with senior management on a strategic level demonstrating your industry knowledge for companies in your portfolio.

Skills & Experience

To be successful you will have the following:              

• Tertiary qualification majoring in finance or property related degree;
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ relevant experience in financial analysis and credit analysis;
• Industry knowledge in mid-market property would be highly regarded;
• Highly motivated team player with high energy levels; with the ability to also work autonomously;
• Strong attention to detail and operational expertise;
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
