This is a unique opportunity to join the Credit & Collections team based in Melbourne. The Credit Risk and Strategy Manager reports to the Performance and Solution Manager and is responsible for developing, maintaining and prioritising activities aimed to increase debt book performance in line with annual targets. The role will also create a strategic plan that drives towards the credit and collection vision of next best action collection activities. This will involve:
- Developing, maintaining and prioritising a schedule of activities aimed to increase debt book performance in line with targets
- Reporting on the expected and realised benefits of initiatives and recommendations for scaling initiatives
- Provide inputs to the commercial forecast on expected benefits of upcoming initiatives and reported benefits of initiatives
- Assist commercial in explaining high level debt book movements
- Reduce transactional costs in the collections business without compromising debt book performance
- Strategic direction of credit assessment including benefit realisation and reporting (across all portfolios)
- Developing and maintaining behavioural scorecards to drive differentiated collections paths
- Ensure that we are leveraging vendor capability (both contracted and uncontracted)
- Build relationships with the broader Origin team to assist C&C in achieving debt book objectives
Is This You?
You'll need to be a credit & collections professional, an excellent communicator and commercially focused. You must also hold qualifications in either Finance, Business or related discipline (eg Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering)
You have experience in:
- Experience in creating strategic plans to drive improved performance
- Knowledge of collections processes and operations
- Experience in using credit risk models in making strategic decisions
- Demonstrated ability to improve performance of a debt book through a schedule of collections activities
- Experience in a continuous improvement environment (i.e. champion challenger environment)
- Exposure to Provision Methodologies and Forecasting
- Highly numerate and analytical
- Strong communications skills- particularly the ability to communicate technical information to a broad audience
- High performance and delivery focus
- Highly agile and flexible
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Customer Centric
- Good understanding of Change Management
