Your role

Australian Unity’s Advice division is seeking to appoint a Paraplanner for our Brisbane CBD location. Reporting to the Paraplanning Team Leader, this role is responsible for preparing high quality Statement of Advice documents on behalf of Australian Unity Financial Advisers in accordance with business procedures and policies, as well as client and adviser requirements.

Your remit

Key accountabilities are across these key pillars:

  • Preparation of high quality written Statement of Advice documents;
  • Contribute to process improvement in terms of paraplanning policies, procedures, maintenance of templates and other resources;
  • Ongoing maintenance and development of professional knowledge to satisfy, at a minimum, current industry, AU and legislative requirements. In addition to this, compliance with all business regulatory requirements within AU, completing all necessary regulatory training as required and meeting OHS obligations.

To be successful in this role the following experience is required

  • Experience in the preparation of comprehensive statements of advice.
  • Experience in using XPlan financial planning modelling software.
  • Broad range and depth of technical knowledge.
  • Degree / Diploma in financial planning / Applied Finance.
  • Other relevant business degree (looked at as favourable).
  • Clear police record and capable of being an Adviser.
  • Ability to develop and retain relationships, build rapport with financial advisers
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
