My client, a leading insurer, seeks a Compliance Manager to join its team in the Sydney CBD. This role, reporting to the Senior Manager of Compliance, will be responsible all compliance matters as they relate to the retail business.

The primary responsibilities of the role are as follows:

• Develop, implement and monitor product development and management of sales practices, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory and global company policy requirements.
• Develop compliance framework for retail life insurance products and distribution channels.
• Line 2 oversight of controls assurance within the retail life insurance business.
• Incident reporting, monitoring and providing advisory support to business units to promote prompt incident remediation.
• Contribute to regular compliance reporting and communications to the Australian leadership team.
• Develop and manage relationships with business leaders and other internal stakeholders.

Who we’re looking for:

• Tertiary or professional qualifications in Risk, Compliance Management, Accounting or Law.
• 5+ years of compliance experience in retail life insurance or wealth management.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Excellent knowledge of compliance pertaining to retail distribution channels, products and advice.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
