We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Managed Account Services team within IOOF’s highly regarded ‘Best Advice’ team at a senior level.  The ‘Best Advice’ team provides complementary and coordinated best practice advice services (including managed account services, paraplanning, technical services, policy development, XPLAN support and project delivery) to IOOF’s advice businesses.

About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader Managed Account Services, you will be responsible for the ongoing delivery of managed account services and a first point of reference for escalated queries relating to our portfolio management services, including managed discretionary accounts.

  • Onboarding and assisting advisers and their support staff with any queries, as well as taking part in face-to-face or webinar-based training sessions.
  • Day-to-day delivery of managed account services within set service standards.
  • Establishment and maintenance of model portfolios on platforms.
  • Delivering adviser/stakeholder communications in relation to model portfolio changes.
  • Using platform software, generating rebalances and trades resulting from model portfolio changes or other triggers.
  • Assisting with weekly MDA rebalances and half-yearly updates for other portfolio management services.

To be successful in this role you will possess

  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within financial services/operations, with exposure to model portfolios, MDA requirements and financial planning software.
  • A business/finance related degree and/or a financial planning qualification (e.g. Diploma of Financial Planning) is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing) in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Ability to use initiative and judgement in problem solving situations.
  • Great interpersonal skills, allowing you to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change.
  • Committed to timely delivery and delivering exceptional customer service.
