My client is a Global Banking icon who have grown their presence in the Australian market over the last 30 years.
An opportunity for a Manager/AVP has become available in their compliance department for a period of 1 year to cover maternity leave. The role will report into the head of Risk and will be a pivotal cog within the team.
The duties of the role are as follows:
- Review compliance procedures and policies and make recommendations and draft amendments to current policy
- Ongoing review, implementation, tracking and reporting of laws which govern the region
- Provide advice and promote ongoing awareness of compliance risk and regulatory issues with relevant stakeholders
- Develop and deliver inhouse training
- Development and implementation of ongoing compliance programs
- Oversee and assist the business with necessary reporting requirements
- Povide ongoing support and assistance with AML/KYC/CTF activites
To be a success in this role you will require the following:
- Degree qualification (Law degree preferred)
- 5 years compliance experience across Financial services/Banking industry wthin Australia
- Strong communication skills
- An ability to work as part of the team
