What does this job involve?

This role will suit a keen financial mind with a strong ability to partner with a diverse business. Based in our JLL IFM Head office in the Sydney CBD, you will be partnering with our Head of Corporate Business in this newly created role. Your main objective is to ensures superior delivery of accounting and finance services to Corporate Business clients through dedicated finance staff. Collaborating closely with senior internal and external stakeholders to identify issues and create solutions for client finance delivery & management, making life easier for JLL & our client.

You will lead a team of 10 finance professionals using your expertise to work with the team to create efficiencies and be a point of escalation. You will also need to have a solid understanding of the finance function and client deliverables including supporting the delivery of KPI commitments. You'll attend regular client meetings and review the monthly financial performance of the client's property portfolio and present where needed.

A snapshot of the role;

• Be the finance business partner for Head of Corporate Business to ensure that accounting and finance services are being delivered in line with contractual obligations
• Escalation point for key client finance stakeholders where service delivery being impacted
• Contact for both internal JLL staff and external client staff for changes in accounting standards
• Oversee transitions for Corporate Business through to the stabilisation of these new accounts including the close out of all stabilisation tasks
• Constantly seek process improvement initiatives to support more efficient service delivery and use of resources
• Support with both internal and external governance obligations such as external client audit, Finance Peer Review, etc.
• Manage career planning for finance teams within Corporate Business
• Support Finance Director, Client Finance with projects, initiatives that impact the finance teams within Corporate Business

What are we looking for?

You'll be qualified in finance or related degree, and hold CPA/CA qualifications. You will have minimum 7 years' experience in a similar role. Your knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills allowing you to liaise across many levels of commercial business and able to explain financials to financial and non-financial colleagues and clients alike. Ideally with experience in the Property industry, you will have strong verbal and written communication skills with outstanding organisational and time management abilities. Your positive attitude, ability to think innovatively and strong people management and development skills will make you a great fit for the role.
