We are seeking a Relationship Manager for our team and support Suncorp’s vision to become a trusted partner to people in our communities to help them achieve their financial goals through every stage of life.

Representing Suncorp Bank within the Western Queensland region and based in Longreach, you will maximise the visibility of the brand by actively and positively promoting the company at public and business events. In this role, you will lead a team of banking professionals along with managing and growing a portfolio of Agribusiness customers across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding and managing the financial needs of the regional agribusiness customer base
  • Maximise the visibility of the Suncorp Bank brand throughout the district by actively and positively promoting the company at public events.
  • Network and liaise with customers to optimise and maintain relationships and promote customer retention.
  • Identifying an acceptable level of lending risk, in line with Suncorp's risk appetite statement, and to maximise business returns
  • Analysing complex financial statements and assist with preparation of detailed credit submissions, including identification of key risks

Ideally you will bring to this role your experience as an authentic leader who is passionate about bringing out the best in your team, by actively mentoring and supporting highly motivated people. You will have strong communication skills and the capacity to network effectively, strengthen relationships and build rapport with key stakeholders. 

You will also have the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in a role requiring growth and retention of a customer base
  • Understanding and application of risk analysis, cash flow analysis, portfolio management, evaluation and analysis of profit projections, property valuation, credit mediation, security requirements and credit checking
  • Ability to recognise and implement business strategies to drive profitable growth, customer acquisition, customer experience and sales productivity
