Senior Internal Auditor within Institutional Banking.Up to $155k + super + bonus. CBD location

Senior Internal Auditor required to lead the internal audit planning processes for a Big 4 bank within their institutional banking portfolio.

Your responsibilities will require you to:

• Identify processes, risks and controls for testing
• Determine scope for testing the design and operating effectiveness of controls
• Collaborate with senior management and engage subject matter experts in credit, technology and risk and compliance
• Monitor projects, developments activities, issue management, emerging risks or concerns
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop and coach staff
• Lead a small team providing feedback and professional guidance and delivering annual appraisals

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent field
• A minimum 10 years of experience in internal audit or Big 4 accounting practice with relevant experience in financial services
• Proven experience in Financial Markets (desirable)
• Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA) or Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) or Institute of Internal Audit (IIA) is desirable
• Previous experience performing a similar role in either banking or financial services
• Strong communication & relationship skills
• Proven coaching and staff development skills
