What you'll be doing
Working within a team of subject matter experts and analysts that manage, research and implement best practice methodologies associated with Credit Risk, the key focuses of this role are:
- Interpretation and implementation of compliant Credit Risk RWA methodologies and practices
- Research and manage methodology within current and revised regulatory standards
- Refinement of the Group's approach to credit risk RWA
- Engagement with senior internal and external stakeholders to provide insight
- Education of stakeholders and business units in the calculation and key drivers of Credit Risk RWA
- Early identification and rectification of issues pertaining to Credit Risk
On a day to day basis, your responsibilities include:
- Management and enhancement of Credit Risk RWA methodology
- Internal/external stakeholder engagement relating to regulatory change
- Documentation of methodologies and interpretations
- Liaise with key stakeholders in regards to interpretational issues and product development
- Work closely with PD/LGD/EaD and other relevant model developers/validators to ensure that inputs to Credit Risk RWA models are consistent
- Train appropriate stakeholders in understanding methodologies
- Prepare papers as required for the various risk committees
What you'll bring
With a previous background in the credit risk space, you can demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, banking & finance and a risk related discipline
- Experience in banking & finance covering the entire credit cycle
- Strong understanding of lending products, financial legislation, financial instruments, industry performance & financial structures
- Ability to effectively communicate detailed and complex information to internal and external senior stakeholders
- Strong credit risk management skills
- Writing skills
- Leadership and coaching expertise
