This Stockbroker/Funds Management Company has a reputation as being a leader in their field and is continuously growing. As a result of this continued strong growth they have an immediate need for a Dealer Assistant. The Dealer Assistant plays an important part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the dealing desk and assisting 3 Dealers.

Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Client Service- answering client phone calls and emails, preparing Financial Summary Reports, portfolio performance, preferred stock recommendations and research.
• Liaising with accountants regarding tax reports and advisors on any settlements
• Liaising with various internal stakeholders
• Supervision of SMSF’s- Payment of pensions and tax appropriate contributions
• Researching information on companies and managed funds
• Using GBST and Iress; taking, placing and managing orders, executing BPO’s, quoting process on indices and ordinary shares and the provision of dividend information
• Preparing daily Cash Management Trust (CMT) redemptions and lodgements of term deposits
• Ensure advisers lodge bids by due dates, preparing letters of offers, recording and processing application forms
• Contacting clients to confirm their participation in the corporate action
• Distribution of holding statements

The successful candidate will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Finance
• RG146 favourable but not mandatory.
• Experience in Equities, preferably back-office
• Excellent Microsoft and excel skills along with the aptitude to learn new systems (e.g. e.g. IRESS, Agility)
• Above average written and verbal communication skills
• Corporate presentation
• Client service focus and good attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• A genuine interest in a career in financial services
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
