This start-up role will be responsible for providing the highest quality fund administration and client service to new clients and product owners, working independently to establish systems, procedures, policies, compliance, accounting and reporting capabilities. 

This is a multi-tasked role which requires you to work independently to deliver funds services in a professional and efficient manner, bearing in mind established objectives of the funds and setting high performance standards by showing leadership and effective communication with all stakeholders. The funds will be invested in projects conducted by related entities which will provide an opportunity to influence the performance of these projects.

Qualification and Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Management or related discipline
• Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a Fund Management/Investment company with exposure to one or a few the following areas - funds administration, risk management, ASIC compliance, accounting and reporting, systems and client services
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word with ability to develop new reports
• Financial and commercial acumen as it related to funds management including investment returns, investor allocations and relevant financial metrics reporting
• Motivated and diligent individual who can meet deadlines and has appetite to grow in the role, be challenged and take on more responsibilities

Role Description

• Conduct all responsibilities of the Funds Management entity in an efficient and effective manner ensuring all objectives of the funds and projects being financed are satisfactorily met and also ensuring that all compliance relating to the risk management framework of the ASIC License Holder entity (Responsible Entity) is carried out in a timely and satisfactory manner.
• Establish effectively controlled operations function including funds settlement, reconciliations, segregation of duties and related reporting of activities.   
• Manage multiple relationships – Responsible Entity, Clients funds, Projects Managers, entity owners, internal and external accountants and auditors.

• Establish and document procedures and policies for the business ensuring all potential risks are identified and mitigated through robust controls.
• In addition to any reports already available from the Responsible Entity, establish and implement reporting for internal and external purposes ensuring all requirements of ASIC, client reporting and ASIC license holder is fully covered. 
• Establish, document and implement internal accounting and tax reporting requirements and ensure all required data with appropriate audit trail is maintained and backed up at all times.
• Document detailed role activities with ‘desk top instructions’ and educate and train other staff on all aspects of the role to ensure there is sufficient back up for the role.
