The role of Financial Analyst sits within the Corporate Finance team with one of Australia's leading banks. The Role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, key responsibilities will include:

• Provide commercial support to the business leaders to appropriately allocate financial resources to appropriate work effort to meet the organisation’s financial and operational goals.
• Develop and deliver meaningful insights that help driver better business performance. This will include the identification of cost efficiency measures, providing objective analysis of the operations and underlying trends that may represent emerging issues.
• Provide guidance and advice to the business leaders on the financial performance of the Operations business, the financial plans and forecasts and the financial impacts of change initiatives.
• Supporting the business by providing customer service in form of financial services and decision support
• Supporting the flow of finance work on your portfolio by providing timely and relevant financial information and insights and analysis in support of managing the performance of the business.
• Assist in creating and operating planning and forecasting models and providing driver based analysis in support of the planning and rolling forecast processes
• Provide information and analysis to support financial evaluation of change initiatives related to the strategic direction of the business.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience working in or with Financial Services organisations or large commercial business. Big 4 will be considered favourably
• Experience working with broader business clients in a commercial environment;
• CA or CPA qualified or close to qualification
• Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills and ability to drive outcomes
• Excellent analytical skills
