Our client has commenced a program of work, across one of its business units, to enhance its financial crime risk management capabilities.

The project is looking for a Senior Risk & Compliance Manager (Financial Crime) to work as part of a team to design and implement a divisional and a branch level Money Laundering / Terrorist Financing Risk Assessment framework that is suitable and meets all regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions in which Institutional Bank has a presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and assist in the implementation of a harmonised AML/CTF branch risk assessment framework and methodology which can be used by I.B. branches across the selected jurisdictions in which the business operates.
• Assist with the design and rollout of a Divisional AML/CTF risk assessment framework for WIB.

Key Requirements:

The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of Financial Crime regulations (Anti-money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, etc), risk management, controls development and investment banking workflows, ideally across international jurisdictions, including:

• Experience in developing frameworks for, or conducting branch or organisational level ML/TF risk assessments.
• Understanding risk assessment principles - identification of qualitative and quantitative factors, measurement of inherent risk, understanding of control environments, and determination of residual risk.
• Understanding of institutional/investment banking products, processes, governance and roles and responsibilities.
