Our client is a leading global fund services firm with a sizable presence in Sydney.  The managed funds team is responsible for end to end processing for Managed Funds and Unlisted Unit Trust Investments. This broadly covers the following areas:

• Execution of trade instructions
• Ensuring timely settlement of all trades in the market
• Reconciliation of cash, transactions, pricing and units
• Sourcing and updating unit prices for unlisted assets
• Capturing and processing all periodic Corporate Action activities

The Manager- Managed Funds is responsible for:

• Management, review and sign off of projects and transitional requirements
• Management, review and sign off of any operational changes and developments
• Managing a high quality of service and satisfaction with  clients
• The Managed Funds teams training, knowledge and professionalism
• The strategic and tactical management of the Managed Funds operational functions to ensure alignment to operational models
• Ensuring that staff and the bank have effective compliance and risk reviews and actions to mitigate risk for the firm
• Driving the business through competitive advantages, best practices, market standards and effective developments
• Effective escalation at all levels of the bank

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years work related experience in the fund administration industry
• 5+ years team management experience  ( >10+ staff ideally)
• Advanced knowledge of Alternative Investments with regards to understanding market and regulatory requirements, Investment and fund operations, platforms and systems
