Our Client a Scientific Environmental testing facility are looking to expand their growing team within their administration and accounting division. Located in Port Melbourne this could be an opportunity to work closer to home with the benefit of being able to park on site for free. As an experience Accounts Administrator you will be a bit of an all rounder across office support and report to the Office Manager. We are looking for candidates who have the following experience:

 

·         Preferably a minimum of two years experience in accounts receivable including processing invoices, interacting with customers, understanding of pricing and accounts structures.

·         Demonstrated experience in administrative and reception functions.

·         Demonstrated experience with Financial Management Systems and Microsoft products.

·         Self motivated, with the capacity to communicate well with people both orally and in writing, including the ability to work as part of a team.

·         Ability to take a proactive approach to deliver required work output.

·         Planning and co-ordination skills including the capacity to organise work and meet deadlines.

·         An understanding of and commitment to workplace diversity, workplace participation, safe working environment and access and equity principles.

 

The successful candidate will be an experienced administration officer in accounts receivable and laboratory administration.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Provide timely and accurate delivery of accounts receivable invoices and reports to Clients
  2. Input/modify client information into database systems.
  3. Support the debt management function.
  4. Liaise with Clients, Section Managers, Customer Service, Laboratory Services and Corporate Finance on reporting/pricing/timely payment issues as required.
  5. Provide input and recommendations for improved invoicing procedures as required.
  6. Responsible for the travel booking system for Port Melbourne, and other sections as requested.
  7. Provide timely and accurate processing of the accounts payable invoices.
  8. Undertake support functions within the Administration section including reception, assisting staff on a range of administrative matters and general office duties.
