An exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join an organisation for 6 months on a fixed term contract. The particular candidate will be responsible for the majority of tasks, so therefore they are looking for someone who is an "all-rounder".
Client Details
My client is a company that exists in the property and construction industry and are located in the CBD. They carry a well known brand and this role has come about due to a current staff member going on maternity leave. Whilst my client has an excellent team environment, they are looking for someone to hit the ground running. The role will give the particular candidate the ability to be autonomous and take responsibility for their tasks.
Description
Whilst reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will undertake the following responsibilities and tasks including but not limited to:
- Preparing regular management reports
- Preparing financial performance reports
- Reconciling the depreciation schedule
- Developing forecasts and budgets
- Liaise with auditors
- Undertake accounts receivable, accounts payable & payroll using Myob
- Prepare statutory returns - PAYG, BAS, FBT experience
- Liaise with other existing external stakeholders
- Prepare cash flow report
Profile
- The successful candidate is expected to be excellent with their communication skills - written and verbally
- They must have had experience with payroll, AP & AR
- Experience using Myob for greater than 2 years
- Have great customer service and administration skills
- understanding of GST and FBT
- Great problem solving skills
- Experience working autonomously as well as working within a team
- Have a relevant University degree
- Be CA/CPA qualified
