We have an opportunity for a qualified Financial Accountant to join a well-known Australian outfit who's international journey continues without sign of slowing. Entering into a period of growth, they are looking for a proven Financial Accountant who'll primarily be responsible for assisting with month end closing and that key compliance obligations are performed accurately and efficiently for their Head Office. You will also assist in the delivery of:
- Effective and efficient work processes which deliver value for the business
- Efficient core standards of reconciliations and reporting
- A collaborative approach to managing shared accountabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing the month end/year end reporting process
- Ensuring compliance to accounting standards
- Assisting with the management reporting pack for internal stakeholders
- Preparation of the P&L, general ledger & cash flow and any additional internal reporting processes
- Controls focus ensuring key controls and KPI’s are developed and implemented across various accounting processes
- Ad hoc projects of which they will be several from the CFO office
Key experience to be suitable for this role:
- Experience working in a large/complex environment ideally
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in similar role
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance or related qualification.
- Fully qualified CA/CPA/CIMA
- Strong report writing and Excel skills
- A proven ability to communicate effectively, particularly with timeline and issues management.
- Positive attitude and an excellent attention to detail
