The Role
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Monthly financial reporting
• Complete Retail Store accounting tasks i.e accruals and reporting, wage journals and bonus calculations
• Assist the external auditors when required
• Performing all bank reconciliations
• Preparation of all payments such as staff reimbursements, and petty cash
• Management of Accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure compliance of statutory accounts with all relevant accounting standards and legislative requirements
• Development and implement best practice financial policies and procedures  ensuring they align with group policy
• Maintain open communication and ensure active collaboration across stakeholder groups

Skills and Experience 

• Tertiary qualified in an accounting or business degree
• Experience with Hyperion (HFM) is a prerequisite 
• Aspirations to completed or be part way through your CA/CPA
• 3-5 years professional accounting experience in a retail business is required
• Extensive knowledge of accounting standards
• Proficient experience using MS Excel
• Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to demonstrate initiative and have good attention to detail are essential.
